| Pedigree: |
Most recently, this car won the 2007 GT-1 National Championship in the Viper Racing League. The car entered 8 races in the 2007 season – It won 1st place in 7 of VRL races and 3rd in the other. Additionally, the car won first Overall at 2 of the events, beating every car on the track, including the Competition Coupes. Back in 2005, this car won 1st Overall at Finals, again beating the Competition Coupes (Factory Built Race Cars). This car is fast and it likes to win. This is the best developed and best performing GT-1 car out there. |
| Engine: |
The Engine was completely rebuilt in 2006 by Bobby Archer at ViperSpeed. It was completely balanced and built with reliability in mind. The engine parts were treating with friction reducing coatings which hold oil molecules. The ECU has been upgraded and tuned to get the most out of the engine while still meeting all of the VRL rules for the GT-1 class. Motul performance lubricants have always been used in the engine. The car is serviced and all fluids and bolts torque routinely. As a recommended maintenance, we recently changed the valve springs to ensure long term reliability. |
| Transmission: |
Was specially built by Steve Holman for this car. It is balanced & blueprinted for smooth operation and reliability. It has the upgraded, shorter ratios for 5th & 6th gear. This is a great performance advantage. The car is equipped with a Tilton lightweight flywheel and triple disk clutch racing clutch, which enables a much quicker acceleration. |
| Brakes: |
The braking system is one of the key advantages this car has over other GT-1 Vipers. In 2007 the car was equipped with a completely new brake system from the World Challenge Competition Coupe Catalog. In addition, this car has ABS. This is a big deal. In 2000, Viper did not come equipped with ABS. In 2007, we developed and installed an ABS system for the car. The brakes work flawlessly. Furthermore, the ABS helps to keep you out of trouble and allows you to get a little closer to the limit. |
