BJ Motors is proud to offer an amazing piece of Viper racing history; the car you see before you 1 of 5 prototype Competition Coupes built in 2002 before customer orders were accepted for the all-new Viper Competition Coupe racecar. This particular car is the 4th prototype built and was used for applications like wind tunnel analysis and endurance testing. A team consisting of SRT crew and factory Mopar racing driver Cindi Lux carried out testing at the track in order to validate the new components that would be offered to customers in the new Competition Coupe race cars. Aside from testing and press work on the track, the car has no documented competition history.

The P4 prototype has been publicized in a myriad of online and print-base magazines and was on display at multiple Viper Owner Invitational events. While many of the iconic press release photos of the car display its special PVO (Performance Vehicle Operations) livery, the car currently sports the classic silver Mopar livery. After its role with PVO (renamed to SRT in January 2004) the car resided in the Connor Avenue Assembly Plant on display before the plant closed in 2010. Now, for the first time, the car is being offered for sale out of a large, private collection.

This car presents a few unique opportunities. First, an opportunity that might never come around again, and that is owning a unique piece of Viper history that helped continue the Viper's storied motorsports lineage and bring that lineage into the hands of the public consumer. Furthermore, the bulletproof Viper platform remains, and with the right revisions and updates, can be compliant of road racing regulations (in July 2020, the car received a new fuel cell).
