BJ Motors is very excited to be able to offer to the general public a very unique opportunity to own the newest limited production race car by Porsche; the 2019 935. Only 77 units are slated for delivery in 2019, and this is your chance to be able to own a piece of Porsche history.
The 2019 935 pays homage to the 1978 Porsche 935/78 "Moby Dick" race car that, arguably, was among the most iconic and unique race cars of its era. The 935/78 was best known for its swooping, elongated rear end paired with the iconic Martini livery. The 935/78 competed in major motorsport events such as Le Mans, and was one of the fastest cars to compete in its time, reaching speeds upwards of 228 MPH when full out on the Mulsanne straight. The 2019 935 acts as Porsche's 70th birthday present, as it was unvieled at Rennsport Reunion 2018 at the coveted Laguna Seca Race Track.
Based on the 991 GT2RS, the 935 has received much love from Porsche Motorsport. The elongated rear end reminds racing fans of the 935/78, with its massive fairings and a white base colour. The wheel arch air vents on the front fairings are inspired by the Porsche 911 GT3 R customer vehicle, and the rear wing lends aerodynamic balance. The Turbo Fan-style wheels echo those of the 935/78, and the LED rear lights on the rear wing endplates are adopted from the 919 Hybrid LMP1 race car. The side mirrors are taken from the current 911 RSR, with the exposed titanium tailpipes modeled from the Porsche 908 from 1968. The knob on the gearshift lever has a laminated wood design inspired by the 917, the 909 Bergspyder and the Carrera GT supercar. The carbon steering wheel and the colour display behind it have been taken from the 911 GT3 R. The modern safety cage, racing bucket seat and a six-point safety harness ensure maximum safety. A second seat is also available as an optional extra. Air conditioning is also fitted as standard.
Stopping power is provided by a set of six-piston aluminium monobloc racing callipers on the front axle. These are combined with 380-millimeter internally ventilated and grooved steel brake discs. The rear axle is fitted with four-piston callipers and 355-millimeter discs.
The colour on the display car is Agate Grey with the optional Martini livery. Pricing is 701,948 Euros plus country-specific VAT, although in all likelihood, it is completely sold out.
